United Way is working to Advance the COMMON GOOD for all in
Putnam County.
How do we do that?
By conducting a community-wide fund raising campaign each year
(September through October) and then bringing together community
volunteers to allocate the funds to local agencies providing
youth development, elderly care, encouraging healthy lifestyles,
and assisting in times of need. Visit our Partner Agencies page
to see the list of 17 agencies funded in part by the annual
United Way campaign.

United Way does more than fund-raise!
Because the United Way is an ideal vehicle for bringing the
community together, we coordinate four additional programs:
-
Housing Assistance Program
– providing rent, utilities, and mortgage assistance.
-
Furniture & Appliance Bank
– redistributing used furniture and appliances to families
and individuals in crisis.
-
Imagination Library
– providing free books to children from birth to age five.
-
Back-to-School Drive & Giveaway
– collecting and distributing school supplies for children
of families in need.
Did we miss you? If
we missed you or if you were simply unable to participate during
our campaign last fall, you can still make a contribution to
help advance the common good in Putnam County.
